Missing (A throwback Thursday post)

Try not missing someone you love so much. Just try to enjoy all your time together. And then when you are apart, be happy for them being able to experience life on their own. Imagine the great time they are having, and have fun yourself. Do a lot of things and accomplish a lot of things, so when you see them again, you’ll have so much more to share with each other.

Missing is such a wasteful emotion. It’s not wrong, but it’s also not the best way to spend your time and effort. Missing someone is being a little selfish, a little bit possessive of someone’s time and attention. Missing implies that there was a lack of experience from someone’s presence.

When you spend time, be in the moment. Give that someone your full attention. Don’t let a single moment to waste. And when you say farewell, keep those moments in your pocket as a souvenir. Miss them a little if you must. And then say, “see you soon” 🙂
